Number 43 is launching a historical musical album, telling the history ngesiSwati

House of Masekela Productions plans to release Bholoja’s latest album in September. The album is a compilation of tracks based on the book,  “Number 43: Trelawny Park KwaMagogo” authored by Elias Masilela. During a press conference held two months ago attended by Hugh Masekela and Masilela, it was announced that Bholoja had been roped in for the project.

In an interview, Bholoja confirmed that he and his team are yet to send a demo to the South African recording studio and production house headed by Hugh Masekela. “We are almost done with the demo. After we send it, we wait for Hugh for directions on a way forward,” he said. He added that they have been working tirelessly to put together a quality product and he believes that Masekela will love the demo. According to information posted on the House of Masekela Productions website, the album will be released in late September. Masilela has previously praised Bholoja’s unique sound.

The South African based local author also described Bholoja’s creativity in composing as one that is fitting to be presented to people internationally, and people would be able to relate to the story being told. After the project reaches completion, it will be launched in the country as well as in South Africa before June. Thereafter, there will be road shows in both countries before Bholoja embarks on a European tour.
